Two groups led by UNC alumnae are asking potential incoming Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos to maintain some of the sexual assault guidelines implemented by the Obama administration.
End Rape on Campus and Know Your IX, led by UNC alums Annie Clark and Andrea Pino, have started the social media campaign #DearBetsy. Students use the hashtag in social media posts to talk about their own sexual assault experiences.
Clark and Pino filed federal complaints against UNC in 2013, saying that the university mishandled their sexual assault cases.
