Here’s how to make easy, delicious ricotta toast

Ricotta toast is the perfect quick dinner or sort-of healthy dessert. Make this for your friends and impress them with your culinary skill.

Ricotta toast is the perfect quick dinner or sort-of healthy dessert. Make this for your friends and impress them with your culinary skill. (Just don’t tell them how simple it is.)

Grab a loaf of bread (we used sourdough) and ricotta cheese. Cut and toast a few slices of bread.

For the mushroom toast, you’ll need:

  • small portobello mushrooms, chopped
  • olive oil
  • half a yellow onion, diced
  • two cloves garlic, minced
  • wedge of lemon
  • parsley, chopped
  • salt and pepper

Pour about a tablespoon of olive oil in a pan and set it on medium heat. Put the mushrooms, onion and garlic in the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until they’re soft.

Spread ricotta over the toast and top with your mushroom mixture. Sprinkle salt and pepper over top, then squeeze a wedge of lemon on the mixture.

For the strawberry toast, you’ll need:

  • strawberries, sliced
  • honey
  • wedge of lime
  • pepper

Spread ricotta over the toast and top with strawberries. Drizzle honey over the strawberries. Sprinkle pepper over top, then squeeze a wedge of lime on the mixture.
